Google DevFest 2010 Lagos

It was very geeky and fun during the Google led DevFest conference which held at Chams City PLC, Ikeja Lagos, Nigeria last weekend. I learnt a lot, and got inspired about several Google technologies which I actually already know before now.

The workshop featured local and international speakers from Google, Ushahidi, World Bank, and of course a very enthusiastic developer audience.

We covered Maps API, Map Maker, AppEngine(Phython), GeoCoding, Moderator, and Mobile. Although I did not win any of the available prices during the workshop (because of a bug I discovered when using the Maps API and JQuery 1.4) , I'm still developing my app since we have been given an extension, I hope to submit it by Tuesday next week.

After all said and done, I'll say a big thanks to Google for putting the event together, the food (yeah, that was great) and the T-shirts.
