Admission Requirements

For 6 -year Part-time:

Candidates who possess any of the following qualifications may be considered for admission:At least five credit-level passes in WASC, WAEC SSCE,NECO,SSCE or at least five merit-level passes in Teachers Grade II ( TC II) examinations or equivalent qualifications. The subjects should include English Langauge and any other two Arts subjects such as Literature in English, History or Government , or Religious Knowledge at not more than two sittings.

For 4 - year Part-time:

In addition to the requirements of Full time Degree , candidates who possess any of the following qualifications may be considered for admission:

At least two advanced level passes in any two arts subjects at the GCE or HSC. At least an overall merit-level pass in the Diploma in Theatre Arts / English from recognized College of Education . At least a credit-level pass in Diploma in Theatre Arts (DTA) of  University of  Benin or its equivalent qualification ( upper credit level pass) from any other recognized university .

At least an upper credit level pass in the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Theatre Arts from a recognized Polytechnic or College of Technology.

NOTE: Waiver for Mature Candidates

To quality for admission under this category , candidates should:

1.Not be less than 35 years old

2.Have at least 10 years cognate experience

3.Possess at least Four Ordinary Level credit passes in WASC ,WAEC ,SSCE /GCE,NECO SSCE or at least Four merit-level passes in the Teachers Grade II (TC II) examinations at not more than two sittings. The subjects should include English Language.
