Admission Requirements
Five year Programme or Direct Entry
A.    Five credit passes in GCE O/L, WASC including English Language and Mathematics , out of which two subjects must be at the A/L , or H.Sc or NCE on the subjects must be a Social Sciences subject.
B.    Candidates who possess the University of Benin Diploma in Social Work (DSW) or any other Diploma in Social Work from recognized Institutions, with School certificates/ GCE O/L, credit passes in four subjects which include English language and mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sitting or four merit passes in TC II. Including English Language and mathematics must have obtained a pass in the University of Benin DSW-introduction to statistics course.
C.    Candidates with NCE must possess at least merit pass in two teaching subjects ( one of which be a Social Science subject plus three other credit passes in GCE ( O/L or WASC) these five subject must include English Language and Mathematics and must be obtained in not more than two sittings.   
D.    Candidates who possess the OND in a related field with at least B+ average, plus five credits passes in GCE (O/L or WASC) which must include English Language and Mathematics ( obtained at not more than two Examination sitting)
