About Me: 

A renowned professor of Mycology (1995 till date), who pioneered mushroom science in the university of Benin. Participated actively in upgrading and designing both the undergraduate and post – graduate programmes in mycology/plant pathology in the Department.

Has attended several international conferences in his chosen area of research in the United Kingdom, America, Africa and Asia.

He has a wealth of administrative experience: Served in NUC accreditation of programmes in Nigerian Universities, Served in several panels of postgraduate examination, External assessor of professors in Nigeria and Ghana, served as Head of department-Plant biology and biotechnology (2003- 2006), served as Dean Faculty of Science (1998 – 2002).

He has been appointed National expert in Mushroom science (1993) by the United Nations, refereed scientific articles in national and international journals, Presented invited papers by UNIDO in Senegal, Hong Kong and Zimbabwe. He is also a founding/pioneering member of the African mycological society.

He is a member of the American Society of Mycology and Botany, British Mycological Society, Nigerian Society of Botany and Nigerian Society of Mycology.

Chaired the pioneering and establishment of a private university ( Benson Idahosa University, Benin City Nigeria.)

Supervised several undergraduates, masters and PhD students.
