Anthony E. Afejuku, Professor of English and literature; scholar, writer, poet, freelance journalist and newspaper columnist; activist and humanist. Started his academic career as a Graduate Assistant at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1977, after NYSC in Bornu State. Moved through the ranks to the present post of Professor, University of Benin, after departing ABU in 1980 for University of Benin.
He has externally examined/assessed candidates for higher degrees and for professorial ranks in several Nigerian Universities. He has also performed the role of external examiner at the undergraduate level.
