About Me: 

Born on 22nd September 1958, in Lagos, of parents from Benin City, Mr Kayode-Iyasere  had long experience teaching English language in secondary schools under the Edo State Teaching Service Board before joining University of Benin as an Assistant Lecturer in 1994. He is currently a Lecturer 1 and has taught all the levels of the undergraduate programme. He has served the Department and University in various committees and boards. He specialises in Varieties of English and Mass communication, and is conducting research for his PhD on aspects of the language of Nigerian newspapers. He is a Business Manager for REJES – a publication of the Department of English and Literature.
Mr Kayode-Iyasere is a member of several societies and associations including Nigeria English Studies Association (NESA), Literary Society of Nigeria (LSN), and Modern Languages Association of Nigeria (MLAN). His hobbies are watching soccer, and reading and discussing politics.
